Do you know how to start a blog business?
I am Rosie and I have spent the past two years learning about how to start a blog business. I started a blog as I was learning and made a lot of mistakes along the way. I made so many mistakes and the search engines pretty well ignored me. The only people who saw my blog were people that clicked on my social media posts.
I have now learned from those mistakes and have started this blog with the right mindset and goals. You can see my previous post on how to develop a mindset for success.
I know where I am going and am taking the steps required to make it happen. I am focusing on my business as I move forward.
Now that I have defined my goals and I am treating my blog as a business and not as a hobby, I will continue to grow and build this blog business.
I already enjoy the benefits of a laptop lifestyle, I just work too many hours and commute too far between events to really enjoy the benefits of my lifestyle except for a month twice a year. This is due to my business being a face to face retail one, and this blog is part of moving my entire income streams to online businesses.
Do you think you can learn to start a blog?
Can you read and write? Then you can learn to start a blog. It really is that easy.
How to start a blog to make money.
People often want to know how to start a blog to make money.
However, to turn your blog into a money-making machine is not so easy.
It takes a lot of time and effort.
Every business takes time and effort to get started and thinking that you can spend an hour once a week and have a brilliant business after a short period of time is a bit like expecting to win the lottery without entering a ticket.
Not going to happen.
There are lots of ways that you can gather information to learn how to start a blog. You could spend thousands of hours haunting You Tube watching webinars. You can download every book and tip sheet that you can get your hands on. You can read other people’s blogs and sign up for every little piece of information that those annoying pop-ups tell you that you need, just to get them off the screen. I did all this, and I do know how confusing it is chasing that shiny object which is always just out of reach.
There is a lot of valuable information out there but the problem is that this information is not in any particular order. Each person is giving you a little something to whet your appetite and if you want the important information it is in the course that you need to pay big money for, or the book you need to buy, or maybe even the software that is a ‘must-have’.
Often everything sounds wonderful and you pay the $97 for this information only to find that if you want it to work then you need to upgrade to the $997 product. Oh heck what did I just pay for? Sound familiar?
What if I told you there is a how to build a blog website?
Do you want step by step instructions?
Do you want to know how to set up a website, think about what niche to write about, and find out how to research keywords so that you can optimize your blog so that the search engines can work out what you are talking about?
It can be done, and the good news is that the starter level which offers basic information on the above, and actually guides you through setting up your first website from scratch and hosts it for you is free.
That’s right. As long as you log in regularly, continue to work on your website and continue to learn you can do so for free.
Do you want comprehensive instructions moving forward, learning how to add images, how to promote through social media and other advertising mediums? Maybe you would want to promote products through affiliate marketing and write about items that are for sale on Amazon and receive a commission from any sales that occurred from your referral. You can move forward at a later date and invest in your future.
There are many ways to monetize a blog and annoying pop-ups and expensive banners are not the only way.
Do you want to know about starting a free blog?
Many people think that the only way they can get started is to start a free blog. You can join blog programs and get started for next to nothing. The problem is that you will never own your content. You cannot move away as you grow and if the platform changes its rules, shuts down then so does your business.
There is this other option that I spoke of earlier. You can start a free blog and this will be hosted within the host platform. You don’t even need to buy a domain name at this stage.
You can learn the basics of how to get started. Your website will be live and hosted. You can read some extra training of members who are themselves building online business in many different ways, including blogging.
However, the big difference is that when you are ready to continue to learn and build your blog into a proper business, then you can become a member of the community. Now you will have a blog business that is yours and you will always be able to take with you and even sell. Imagine that, you can learn how to build your blog business, get it up and running, have it hosted and have something that is sellable.
The community members are your business mentors.
They are people who are taking action building their blogs and online businesses of all descriptions.
And best of all, they share their successes and failures with the community.
They have been where you are, just starting off and know that it is a hard process trying to sort out what information you receive is good and what is old outdated rubbish. I hope that you will come and check out this training program and learn how to build a blog website.
